“We live above the pizzeria Casa Nostra where five people lost their lives. We heard a thud and she thought, at first, that it was someone pulling a big suitcase but I said that there was something else going on. It became clear that it was the sound of gunshots. We immediately checked on Twitter and that’s when we realised there was a shooting happening just below us. We spent the evening at home, living these moments from above.
When we started to fall asleep, around 3am, we heard more gunshots.
And now when we come home, we see bullets scattered all over the place we call home, the cafés and the shops.
This could have happened to us. It could have happened to anyone.”
